West Ham United are said to have Manchester City winger Patrick Roberts on their radar.

Manchester City’s Roberts could be put up for sale at the end of the season, when his loan deal at Celtic comes to an end.
City are said to want £15 million for the youngster, with West Ham willing to meet their asking price.
And Roberts would have to be seen as an exciting addition for the Hammers to make.

West Ham’s transfer policy has been rather hit-and-miss in recent times, with some of their additions being great successes and others being complete flops.
The Hammers also have had a tendency to bring in veteran players, as short-term fixes, rather than looking towards the future.
Pablo Zabaleta and Joe Hart came with big reputations in the summer, but both have disappointed.

And Evra has also recently been brought in, despite West Ham needing to freshen up their squad.
The likes of Hart, Zabaleta, Jose Fonte and James Collins are all in the twilight of their careers, and reducing the average age of their squad should be seen as a priority.
Roberts is a player who has a vast amount of potential, and if West Ham sign him, they could see a player with his best days ahead of him, rather than another ageing veteran who is past their peak.
