West Ham United may be in the market for a new striker this month – but now they’re about to sell one.
The Hammers have seen Michail Antonio suffer injury problems this season, with Sebastien Haller still doesn’t seem like a great fit.
Haller has scored seven goals in all competitions this season, but has looked unconvincing in the lone striker role at times this term.
Now, L’Equipe report that the 26-year-old is actually going to leave West Ham, as he is set for a move to Dutch giants Ajax.
Haller was a star in the Netherlands with 51 goals and 16 assists in 98 games for Utrecht, and a move to Ajax will see him reunite with ex-Utrecht boss Erik tan Hag.
The deal will allegedly cost €25million (£22.5million), meaning West Ham are taking a huge loss on the £41million they paid for Haller in 2019.

West Ham fans have been taking to Twitter to react, suggesting that Haller just doesn’t fit into David Moyes’ style of play, and believe it’s best for him to move on even if making such a huge loss is ‘madness’.
Others think that West Ham will live to regret selling Haller, and think he will be worth a huge fee in the future once he starts banging in goals for Ajax.
