West Ham United are in the market for a new striker this month, having allowed Sebastien Haller to leave for Ajax on Friday.
Michail Antonio has suffered injury problems this season, and it’s abundantly clear that David Moyes needs to find at least one new centre forward before the end of the month.
The Hammers are being linked with a host of strikers to replace Haller, and one surprise link emerged from The Mirror over the weekend.
West Ham allegedly want to sign Red Bull Salzburg striker Patson Daka, and have been offered the chance to sign him for around £25million.
The Zambian attacker has been a star in Austria, smashing 15 goals and five assists in just 17 outings this season, whilst he also excelled last term, hitting 27 goals and 12 assists.
At just 22, Daka appears to have huge potential, and could become the latest start to emerge from RB Salzburg, alongside the likes of Erling Haaland and Sadio Mane.

West Ham fans are now reacting on Twitter to speculation linking the rapid attacker with a move to East London, suggesting that he would tear the Premier League apart if he joined this month.
Others are on their knees and begging for the club to sign Daka, and urged agent Frederic Kanoute – formerly of West Ham – to strike a deal.
