West Ham United’s Pablo Fornals has enjoyed a great start to the season, and his campaign went to another level on Wednesday night with a goal for Spain.
The playmaker blew hot and cold in his first West Ham season after arriving from Malaga in 2019, but has really started to thrive under David Moyes.
After an assist against Newcastle United on the opening weekend of the season, Fornals has scored in his last two West Ham outings – and hasn’t slowed down with Spain.
The 25-year-old bagged an assist in a 30-minute cameo for Spain against Georgia on Sunday, and was then handed a start against Kosovo last night.
Fornals continued his blistering form by scoring the opener for Spain in a 2-0 win, firing a powerful strike into the net on his weaker left side.
Fornals only played 59 minutes, but marking his first La Roja start with a goal will have been a dream come true for the midfielder.

West Ham fans have been raving about their midfield star, taking to Twitter to react to his latest display.
Some believe that Fornals is ‘so underrated’ but also ‘phenomenal’ believing West Ham are lucky to have him.
There is some fear though that West Ham will end up losing Fornals, even predicting a move to Barcelona given some rather lofty comparisons to Andres Iniesta…
