West Ham United endured something of a frustrating summer transfer window, with fans a little annoyed at the lack of major spending.

That may mean the Hammers have money to spend in January though, and they area already being linked with a potentially huge move.

The Sun claim that David Moyes want to bring Lyon striker Moussa Dembele to West Ham, having heard his asking price is being slashed.

It’s stated that Lyon are prepared to sell for around £30million, with West Ham now interested in an ambitious January deal.

Dembele, 24, scored 24 goals in 46 games last season as well as seven assists, but he is now goalless in his first 10 games of this season.

The Frenchman would give West Ham another major goal threat, and Moyes may well have been tracking the striker since his Celtic days.

West Ham fans have taken to Twitter to suggest that Dembele is a ‘baller’, and would be a ‘great signing’.

Others believe that a straight swap for Sebastien Haller would be absolutely ideal, sending him back to France whilst bringing in a striker that Moyes really rates and believes in – though whether Lyon would be keen is unclear.
