West Ham United may be in the market for a new striker this month, but don’t expect to see Marko Arnautovic return.
Michail Antonio has suffered injuries this season, whilst Sebastien Haller has blown hot and cold once again.
The Mirror (03/01, p72) reported that David Moyes had one target in mind, eyeing up a move to re-sign Marko Arnautovic.
The Austrian attacker thrived under Moyes in the 2017-18 season, notching 11 goals and six assists in 26 appearances under the Scot.
Arnautovic, 31, left for Shanghai SIPG in 2019, but Moyes was allegedly looking to lure him back to East London in a January deal.
However, the Daily Mail now claim that West Ham have chosen not to sign Arnautovic, considering him too expensive to bring back.

West Ham fans have been taking to Twitter to react, with some offering very powerful criticism of Arnautovic due to the way in which he left the club.
Some don’t want him back for that reason, and believe that West Ham have made the right decision in scrapping a move, suggesting that common sense has prevailed.
