Some West Ham United fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Jesse Lingard against Sheffield United.
Lingard, signed on loan from Manchester United in the January transfer window, was in action for West Ham against the Blades at the London Stadium on Monday evening.
The 28-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, started the match and played for 82 minutes, as David Moyes’s side won 3-0.
The win has enhanced West Ham’s chances of finishing in the top four and claiming a Champions League place for next season.
Lingard looked very bright going forward, won the penalty that his teammate Declan Rice successfully converted, went close to scoring himself, and was a constant problem for the Blades’ defence.
According to WhoScored, the England international took five shots and four were on target, had a pass accuracy of 76.5%, took 59 touches, made one tackle, and put in three crosses.

Some West Ham fans were impressed by the display produced by Lingard against the Blades and have raved about him on Twitter.
