Javier Hernandez has only scored four goals for West Ham United in 21 games.

Javier Hernandez is doing very little to win the affections of West Ham United fans at the moment after another inept display in Sunday’s 0-0 draw at Shrewsbury in the FA Cup.
The £16 million signing was hauled off after 71 minutes for Toni Martinez following another reminder that he isn’t the player who supporters thought he was last summer.

The 29-year-old striker, who has netted four goals across 21 games in all competitions since joining the Irons, was man-handled by the League Two’s side physical defenders and the former Manchester United man simply had no response to it.
And fans of the East London club have been anything but complimentary toward him on Twitter.

Hernandez wasn’t the only culprit for West Ham’s stalemate, with the likes of Andre Ayew and Cheikhou Kouyate also enduring terrible performances it must be said.
But the Mexican hitman was a very high-profile capture from Bayer Leverkusen, which means the spotlight is always going to burn bright on him and, considering he hasn’t scored since October, perhaps criticism from the fanbase is entirely deserved.
