West Ham United fell to defeat on Monday night as they were beaten 3-0 away at London rivals Chelsea.

The Hammers went into the game in decent form with four wins in their previous six games, but were swept aside by the Blues.

Thiago Silva headed Chelsea into a first-half lead, before Tammy Abraham bagged a quickfire brace to seal a 3-0 win.

West Ham didn’t manage a single shot on target in the 90 minutes, and David Moyes will need to find a response against Brighton and Hove Albion on Sunday.

There weren’t many bright spots for West Ham last night, but fans did take to Twitter in order to praise winger Jarrod Bowen for his performance.

Bowen was bizarrely tasked with marking Silva for Chelsea’s opener, which didn’t go too well, but the rest of his performance garnered praise.

He recorded three successful dribbles, two tackles, two accurate crosses and one interception in a strong all-round display, whilst he also had a goal ruled out for a foul in the build-up.

Fans called Bowen ‘underrated’ and felt he was the best player on the pitch last night, adding that he could even play for England in the near future having shown how much of a ‘danger’ he is for West Ham.
