Everton have beaten West Ham United to the punch.

Ronald Koeman, Manager of Everton looks on prior to the Premier League match between Everton and Arsenal at Goodison Park on October 22, 2017 in Liverpool, England.

Everton’s decision to relieve Ronald Koeman of his managerial duties on Monday has provoked a strong reaction from West Ham United fans on social media.

Both clubs have been tipped to make a coaching change in recent weeks, with Everton making the first move.

The pair are currently level on points at the bottom end of the Premier League table, with West Ham above the 18th-placed Toffees on goal difference only.

New West Ham manager Slaven Bilic looks on during the UEFA Europa League match between West Ham United and FC Lusitans at Boleyn Ground on July 2, 2015 in London, England.

Perhaps understandably then, many Hammers supporters are keen to see their board follow suit by putting Slaven Bilic – a former Everton player – out of his misery.

And some believe that Koeman could be just the man to replace the Croatian, despite how he’s fared over the past two months at Goodison Park.

Here’s what they’re saying on Twitter:

Koeman, who has also managed European giants Ajax, Benfica and Valencia, led Southampton to their best ever Premier League finish before leaving for Everton in 2016.

Should West Ham consider Koeman, if/when Bilic leaves the London Stadium?
