Kouyate featured for West Ham in the Premier League game against Bournemouth at the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The 28-year-old, who can operate as a midfielder or as a defender, started the match and played for 90 minutes, as it ended in a 1-1 draw.
The Senegal international has been on the books of the Hammers since the summer of 2014 when he was signed from Belgian club Anderlecht for a transfer fee reported by The Daily Mail to be worth £7 million.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at the London Stadium on Saturday afternoon, hosts West Ham had 47% of the possession, took 12 shots of which four were on target, and earned six corners, according to BBC Sport.
