West Ham United boss Manuel Pellegrini named Angelo Ogbonna as captain.

Manuel Pellegrini opted to give the Italian defender the armband for West Ham’s match against Brighton & Hove Albion at the weekend.
West Ham drew the contest 1-1 and the £10 million centre-back (BBC Sport) was honoured to lead his side out.
He said: “I didn’t expect to be named captain. I was so excited and really focused. But in this team the captain is not just the player who ears the armband.”
However, West Ham fans don’t agree with Ogbonna being given the armband and have not taken kindly to his comments, after he failed to clap the travelling support at Brighton.
Ogbonna’s selection for West Ham against Brighton was somewhat of a surprise, as many expected Fabian Balbuena to start.
Balbuena and Issa Diop had been the Hammers’ centre-back pairing on opening day, but Pellegrini obviously decided he needed a change up at the back on Saturday.
West Ham ended up drawing 1-1 with Brighton, but their performance wasn’t particularly impressive.
West Ham are next in action against Watford on Saturday at Vicarage Road.
