West Ham United are said to be interested in Stoke City defender Ryan Shawcross.
West Ham United fans really don’t want Ryan Shawcross at the London Stadium next season.
The centre-back could leave the Potteries this summer, and Manuel Pellegrini is said to be considering the ex-England international.
However, West Ham fans think that there are far better options than Shawcross out there for them.
If Shawcross was to arrive at West Ham, he would offer a commanding presence to Pellegrini’s backline.
However, Shawcross’ form over the past season was not particularly impressive, as Stoke dropped out of the Premier League.
Pellegrini has made tightening up West Ham’s defence one of his main priorities since taking charge, although new signings are yet to arrive.
If Shawcross was to join West Ham he would be in competition with the likes of Winston Reid, Angelo Ogbonna and Declan Rice for a place in the Hammers’ first-team.
