West Ham United have been heavily linked with Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho in recent times.

Carvalho is said to be seeking a way out of Sporting, and he reportedly wants to terminate his contract.
The midfielder has been a long-term target of West Ham’s, but they have failed to get a deal for him over the line to date, with the Sun suggesting that the midfielder was valued at £40 million in January.
However, with Carvalho now potentially available on a free, Hammers fans have urged the club to finally get a deal done.
If Carvalho did arrive at West Ham he would bring power and presence to Manuel Pellegrini’s side’s midfield.
Carvalho has established himself as a reliable defensive midfielder, with his performances in European football impressing.

The Portuguese international would be an eye-catching addition for the Hammers, who are looking to prove their ambition before the new campaign starts.
Pellegrini has so far only made one signing since arriving, with Ryan Fredericks joining on a free transfer.
