West Ham United sent Josh Cullen and Reece Burke on loan to Bolton Wanderers until January.

West Ham United fans have expressed their disappointment, after both Josh Cullen and Reece Burke were sent on loan to Bolton Wanderers earlier today.

West Ham allowed Cullen and Burke to leave the London Stadium to join Bolton up until January.

Slaven Bilic obviously felt that the two youngsters would benefit from getting regular first-team football at Championship level.

However, West Ham fans wanted the academy graduates kept around, and given a chance in Bilic’s first-team.

Cullen and Burke are both regarded as two of West Ham’s brightest prospects, but the pair have struggled to break into the first-team in recent times.

Cullen has gone out on loan to Bradford City, while Burke was at Wigan Athletic last season.

West Ham are thought to consider both Burke and Cullen as options for the future, but Bilic is loathed to put them into his first-team at this earlier stage of their respective careers.

Bolton begin their season at the weekend with a match against Leeds United, and Cullen and Burke could both feature.
