West Ham United could be without James Collins for up to a month.

According to The Evening Standard, West Ham United centre-back James Collins is facing up to a month on the sidelines.
The ever-green defender, 34, came off injured with an ankle problem in West Ham’s 0-0 draw away to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
The Wales international has played a prominent role in the Irons new-look defence which hasn’t conceded in 180 minutes of football, having previously shipped 10 goals in three Premier League games under a different system employed by manager Slaven Bilic.

But The Standard reports that Collins is set to miss up to a month of first-team action in a development which threatens to undermine the Hammers’ defensive improvement of recent weeks.
Consequently, some West Ham fans are disappointed by the report.

Angelo Ogbonna, an unused sub by Bilic in the last two games, is the obvious choice to come in and partner Jose Fonte and Winston Reid in West Ham’s three-man defence.
