West Ham United let Jose Fonte move to China last month, but they are now short of options at centre-back.

West Ham United fans have criticised the decision to sell Jose Fonte, after Winston Reid’s injury yesterday.
Reid was stretchered off in West Ham’s last match against Swansea City, and looks set to be out for a considerable amount of time.
The Hammers are now short of options centre-back, and their defensive problems were exposed yesterday.
West Ham were beaten 4-1 by Swansea at the Liberty Stadium, with their failure to defend from set-pieces a major concern.

West Ham had to partner Aaron Cresswell with Declan Rice at centre-back against Swansea, and the pair both struggled.
The Hammers’ options on the substitutes’ bench do not look plentiful though, which could leave David Moyes with a problem.
And West Ham fans are now disappointed that Fonte was sold to China last month.
Fonte actually made his debut for Dalian Yifang this weekend, but it did not go according to plan, as his new side lost 8-0.
