Not many West Ham United fans impressed on Sunday afternoon, but Pablo Fornals stood out from the crowd.
The Hammers really needed a win having seen Leicester City lose to Newcastle United on Friday night, but they fell flat against Everton.
David Moyes’ men just couldn’t get going, falling to a Dominic Calvert-Lewin goal as West Ham couldn’t even bring a save out of Jordan Pickford.
That makes West Ham’s task even harder now. They sit five points adrift of Leicester and are running out of games to overcome that deficit.
Not many players turned up for West Ham on the day, but Fornals is the one that West Ham fans have been raving about.
The £24million signing from Villarreal in 2019 took a while to get going at West Ham, but fans really love him now.

Some suggested that Fornals is West Ham’s best player, branding him a ‘baller’ having turned in a ‘fantastic’ performance.
Others now believe he is a real option in central midfield moving forward, and feel he will be ‘crucial next season’ having really picked up form towards the end of this campaign.
