West Ham United fans on Twitter are calling for Pedro Obiang to be handed a run of starts, after the Hammers’ official account posted a compilation video of his highlights against Middlesbrough.
Obiang made his first Premier League start this season against Boro, and his performance was highly impressive.
The Spaniard performed an effective role in the centre of West Ham’s midfield, and protected his defence well.
Obiang has generally been used sparingly by Slaven Bilic, ever since he arrived back in 2015.
However, West Ham fans are now calling for the 24-year-old to be given a run of starts.
West Ham are desperate for some of their players to start showing some form, after what has been a disappointing start to the new campaign.
The Hammers have won just once in the Premier League to date, and they currently sit in 18th place in the table.
West Ham return to action after the international break, with a match against Crystal Palace.
