West Ham United fans have certainly gone for the jugular in their criticism of goalkeeper Joe Hart.

The 30-year-old might well have lost his place as West Ham’s number one after Adrian’s stunning performance in Sunday’s 2-1 defeat at Manchester City.

Hart was ineligible to face his parent club and the Hammers stopper made sure that he grabbed the opportunity with both hands.

West Ham were drawn an away trip to Shrewsbury Town in the third round of the FA Cup on Monday night in a fixture which could see Hart – who began his career at Salop – face his former club in January.

And fans of the East London club were merciless in their teasing of the England international after the club’s official Twitter feed made the mistake of highlighting it.

David Moyes’s side host Premier League champions Chelsea at the London Stadium this weekend and it’ll be interesting to see who the Scot chooses as his number one.

Based on tonight’s Twitter reaction, Moyes might threw away any credibility he earned by only losing by one goal at the Etihad if he reverts to Hart.
