West Ham United have not won a trophy since 1980, but Manuel Lanzini wants to help end their wait.

West Ham United fans are delighted with what Manuel Lanzini has told the club’s official website.
Lanzini has now gone on record to state that he wants to win trophies with West Ham now.
“Why not?” he said, when asked if West Ham could win titles. “It’s difficult, but why not? Leicester won the Premier League two or three years ago. It’s difficult, but we need to believe.”
And West Ham supporters are delighted to see one of their players showing such ambition.
Lanzini has just signed a new long-term contract, worth £70,000-a-week (Spotrac) with West Ham, which is a major boost for Manuel Pellegrini’s side.
The creative midfielder is one of their star players, and has been in fine form so far this season.
Lanzini has claimed two assists in his four Premier League appearances for West Ham so far this term and there is a growing optimism from supporters of the Hammers.
West Ham’s attack looks seriously dangerous, and they have gone unbeaten since losing to Manchester City on opening day.
West Ham are now in seventh place in the Premier League table, with their next match coming against Aston Villa after the international break.
