Everton were beaten 3-1 by West Ham United at the London Stadium yesterday.

Everton's English manager Sam Allardyce gestures on the touchline during the English Premier League football match between West Ham United and Everton at The London Stadium, in east London...

As if Sam Allardyce wasn’t copping enough criticism from Everton fans lately, his latest comments have opened him up to ridicule from West Ham United supporters too.

West Ham ran out 3-1 winners over Allardyce’s Everton side yesterday at the London Stadium.

But the Toffees boss did not see the game in the same way as many of the crowd in attendance.

Allardyce claimed that the only difference between the two sides was the performance of West Ham goalkeeper Adrian.

Adrian of West Ham United gives a thumbs up during the Premier League match between West Ham United and Everton at London Stadium on April 22, 2017 in Stratford, England.

He said to the Liverpool Echo: “I thought Adrian saved them.

“I think because Adrian was so good today with the clearcut chances that we had that he saved, we could have easily acquired a draw.

“But I think the quality of West Ham’s goals, especially the two in the second half, was ultimately the difference – and Adrian by the saves that he made.”

West Ham fans have now hit back at the claims, and suggested that Allardyce’s Everton side were completely outplayed.

West Ham took the lead against Everton through Manuel Lanzini and doubled their advantage when a long-range strike from Marko Arnautovic beat Jordan Pickford.

The Toffees did pull a goal back when Oumar Niasse fired home, but West Ham sealed the three points when Lanzini’s fine strike hit the top corner.
