West Ham United youngster Josh Cullen has made just four first-team appearances for Slaven Bilic’s side to date.
West Ham United fans are hoping that Havard Nordtveit’s exit from the London Stadium is a sign that Slaven Bilic plans to use Josh Cullen in his side’s first-team next season.
Cullen is regarded as one of the most promising prospects currently breaking through at West Ham, but he has been out on loan over the past two seasons.
The central midfielder has been sent on temporary spells at Bradford City, where he has impressed hugely.
And West Ham supporters are now optimistic that Bilic is planning to give Cullen a run out in his senior squad.
Cullen has made just four senior appearances for West Ham to date, but his loan spell at Bradford did suggest he could cope at a higher level than League One.
Cullen has played a starring role for the Bantams over the past two campaigns, racking up over 60 appearances in the lower leagues.
If West Ham do give Cullen a chance next season, it could serve as a major boost to the youngsters in Bilic’s side’s academy set-up.
West Ham have the likes of Martin Samuelsen, Reece Burke and Reece Oxford who all appear to be on the verge of making a first-team breakthrough.
