West Ham United are interested in signing Lucas Digne from Everton in the January transfer window, according to The Daily Mail.

The report has claimed that Everton left-back Digne is among the players West Ham manager David Moyes is considering signing for the Hammers.

Would Lucas Digne make West Ham better?

In our view, Digne would be a very good signing for West Ham.

And, given that Rafael Benitez wants to sell the left-back (ESPN), we think that the Hammers could actually get the Frenchman now.

ESPN reported last week that Everton want £25 million as transfer fee for the former Barcelona left-back this month.

The 28-year-old cost Everton £18 million in the summer of 2018 when they signed him from Barcelona (BBC Sport).

Digne has scored four goals in 113 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

The Frenchman is at the top of his game at the moment and would be able to make an immediate impact at London Stadium.

Aaron Cresswell is injured at the moment and is also 32 years of age.

So, in our opinion, Digne would be able to compete with Cresswell in the long run.
