West Ham United target Javier Hernandez is asking for huge wages to move to the London Stadium.
According to a report on Bleacher Report, Javier Hernandez wants £140,000-a-week to join West Ham United – yet Slaven Bilic may just have the spending power available to sanction such a deal.
Hernandez is said to want a sizeable weekly wage to join West Ham, but the Mexican is available for a relatively cheap transfer fee.
Bayer Leverkusen want just £13 million for Hernandez, which makes him appear one of the stand out value for money purchases.
Hernandez is also believed to be keen to move to West Ham, as he is eager to come back to the Premier League.
Yet, at the moment, complications exist as West Ham are baulking over his salary demands.
Hernandez would become the Hammers’ highest paid players, if he was to get what he was asking for, and Bilic may be concerned about the mood in his current squad, if he was to hand out such a lavish contract.
It may mean that a compromise has to be met, but West Ham appear to have the spending power to sanction a deal.
West Ham have been left shocked that Everton have beaten them to the punch with Giroud, according to Bleacher Report, but his potential earnings at the Hammers show that they mean business.
And West Ham may not be out of the running for Hernandez just yet, even if his wage demands mean that Bilic should only move if he is certain that the 29-year-old will be a success at the London Stadium.
