Daniel Kretinsky is trying to bring Sparta Prague wonderkid Adam Hlozek to West Ham United – but a summer deal may still not happen.

Czech billionaire Kretinsky purchased a 27% stake in West Ham earlier this season and is the president of Sparta Prague.

That certainly gives West Ham a real chance to sign Sparta talent and nobody there is more appealing than striker Hlozek.

Kretinsky is understood to have personally proposed a loan deal for Hlozek to join West Ham – an opportunity no other team will be given.

That’s according to 90Min anyway, as they claim that Kretinsky wants to get Hlozek to West Ham this summer.

The deal isn’t a foregone conclusion though because David Moyes and recruitment chief Rob Newman want to hold off.

The West Ham duo don’t want to sign off on any signings until the season is over, meaning Kretinsky’s offer is so far going unaccepted.

This comes after The Athletic claimed that Moyes wasn’t convinced by Hlozek, vetoing a move because there were concerns he wouldn’t displace Michail Antonio.

That means other clubs may have a chance to swoop in for Hlozek with Juventus, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund all keen.

West Ham having Hlozek in their grasp only to see him move elsewhere would certainly sting for supporters.

Hlozek, 19, has been hailed as ‘extraordinary’ by agent Jaroslav Silhavy and has excelled this season with 11 goals and 15 assists in all competitions.

Capable of playing up front, behind a striker or even out wide, Hlozek is a versatile forward with enormous potential.

Antonio certainly needs help and it’s not often you see a wonderkid right in West Ham’s lap ahead of the transfer window.

Kretinsky is clearly keen to see Hlozek join Vladimir Coufal and Tomas Soucek at West Ham but it now rests in the hands of Moyes, who hasn’t seemed totally convinced.
