West Ham United are eyeing Calum Chambers and could move for the Aston Villa defender in the final hours of the transfer window.
That’s according to transfer insider Dean Jones, who has been speaking to Give Me Sport.
Jones claims that Chambers is one of the names under consideration as David Moyes looks for additional cover at right back.
The Daily Mail add that Chambers is indeed a target on deadline day but he’s actually being viewed as competition at centre back.
Everton defender Michael Keane is another option but West Ham appear to be very interested in Chambers.
The former Arsenal ace is now a name for West Ham fans to keep a close eye on in the final hours of the window as Moyes considers a new signing.

Aston Villa seem open to letting West Ham target Calum Chambers leave
These reports come after The Mirror reported earlier this month that Unai Emery is ready to axe Chambers.
Emery and Chambers worked together at Arsenal but it seems their reunion at Villa Park will be short-lived.
Chambers, 28, has played just 17 minutes of league action since Emery replaced Steven Gerrard, the man who brought him to Villa Park.
Chambers did start against Stevenage in the FA Cup but Villa were beaten 2-1 by the League Two side.
That may well prove to be Chambers’ final appearance for Villa with West Ham now interested in a deal.
Gerrard was a huge fan of Chambers and called him ‘absolutely class’ following a move to Villa Park in January of last year.
Chambers seemingly doesn’t have that same connection with Emery and a late deal will be in the pipeline.
West Ham may really love the versatility Chambers provides at the back, though fans may want specialists at right back and centre back having already signed a versatile defender in Thilo Kehrer over the summer.
