West Ham United are reportedly interested in signing Wayne Rooney from Manchester United at the end of the season.

Looking back, West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic may have hinted at a press conference, which was covered by goal.com, that his side could have been a potential destination for Wayne Rooney last month.
Sky Sports have reported today that West Ham are keen to sign Rooney, if Manchester United are willing to sell the England captain in the summer.
And Bilic’s words, when asked about Rooney’s future last month, prove how highly he rates the 31-year-old.
“He is 31, he definitely has the quality to stay in Europe and he will have enough choices,” he said.
“On the other hand he has done everything, he has nothing to prove and it is difficult for players like that – who have done everything – to find new challenges.
“You captained Manchester United and have been one of the best players in Europe for so long, so where can you go? Of course it is his decision.”
West Ham now reportedly feel that Rooney would enhance the quality of their squad.
The Hammers intend to make an offer for the Red Devils’ leading goalscorer, with his future up in the air.
Rooney has struggled for appearances at United this season and is expected to leave at the end of the current campaign.
Rooney has also been strongly linked with a move to Everton, and a range of MLS clubs with the summer window drawing ever closer.
If Rooney was to move to West Ham, he would be competing with the likes of Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho for a place in Slaven Bilic’s side.
