West Ham United fans have been calling for Antonio Martinez to be given a chance for some time.
West Ham fans have urged Bilic to give Martinez a chance, after his fine goalscoring form for the development side has continued.
Martinez has 11 league goals in 10 under-23 appearances, and scored two goals in the Checkatrade Trophy against Bristol City in midweek.
However, Bilic appears to have no interest in naming the Spanish striker in his starting line-up.
And the Hammers boss has suggested that Andy Carroll will start up-front against Liverpool this weekend.
“Martinez, yeah he is scoring goals and I know him very well but at the moment we have a few strikers in good form,” Bilic said.
“Ayew, Chicharito, maybe Andy Carroll is the ideal player to play against Liverpool, we have Sakho too.”
Bilic has been loathed to give up-and-coming talent a chance at West Ham since taking charge, with many promising youngsters being overlooked.
Declan Rice does look likely to start for West Ham against Liverpool though, as the Hammers’ defensive options are short.
If West Ham are able to beat Liverpool they could move up as high as 11th in the Premier League table, but a defeat could see them fall into the relegation zone.
