West Ham United are due to take on Liverpool at Anfield at the weekend.

West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic has spoken highly of Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge at his press conference today.

The Hammers are set to take on Liverpool on Sunday, and Bilic was inevitably asked about Sturridge prior to the match.

The Daily Mirror have ran reports of West Ham’s interest in Sturridge, ahead of the January transfer window.

The England international has struggled to break into Liverpool’s first-team this term, and there is a theory that he could be made available in January.

And although Bilic would not confirm West Ham’s interest, he did speak positively about the Reds’ forward.

West Ham are thought to be on the look out for a striker in January, as their current front men have struggled so far this season.

The Hammers have been without Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho for much of the campaign, and many of their summer signings have struggled to settle at the London Stadium.

West Ham are currently in 17th place in the Premier League table – just one place above the relegation zone.
