West Ham United are set to face Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup on Saturday.
Slaven Bilic has told West Ham United’s official site that he has been impressed by the quality of Wolverhampton Wanderers’ performances in recent weeks.
West Ham are set to face Wolves in the FA Cup on Saturday, and the Croatian boss is not expecting an easy match, despite the divisional difference between the two sides.
Bilic claims that the Championship outfit are a well organised side, who have the potential to hurt his side on the counter attack.
“I’ve watched a few games and they are on a good run,” he said.
“They are a very compact team and very confident because they have not conceded in three games. They are hard to beat and good on the counter attack. It’s a cup tie, and always a platform for big surprises, but of course we are approaching the FA Cup very seriously.
“We are expecting a tough game, but we are playing at home, but I am expecting us to play good and progress.”
Wolves go into the match at Upton Park as underdogs, but they have put together an impressive string of results.
Kenny Jackett’s side struggled for much of the early part of the season, but they have won their three most recent matches to start climbing up the Championship table.
Wolves are now seven points away from the play off spaces, and they have made no secret of their desire to break into the top six.
They face a tough test to beat West Ham on Saturday, though, as Bilic’s men have also been in good form of late.
The Hammers are unbeaten in their last seven Premier League matches, and have expressed a desire to do well in the FA Cup this season.
