Diafra Sakho may have missed his big chance to impress at West Ham United.

Sakho looked to be in with a strong chance of starting against Brighton & Hove Albion tomorrow evening, but he has now been ruled out with a back injury.

West Ham are already down to the bare bones up-front and Sakho looked the most likely man to step in.

While Hernandez still has a chance of featuring, West Ham will have to be looking at alternative options, and Sakho was certainly the most obvious choice.

Sakho scored in West Ham’s victory over Swansea City, but he has not been able to break into Bilic’s starting line-up.

Sakho is yet to start a Premier League match this season, and has recently expressed his frustrations about missing out.

The Senegalese front man has suggested that if he doesn’t get more regular game time he will look to move on in January in the Daily Star.

But it may be that Sakho has missed his best chance to prove to Bilic he is ready to play, with his injury problems coming back to haunt him again.
