West Ham United beat Shrewsbury Town 1-0 in FA Cup action last night.

Oxford was handed a chance to start for West Ham in the FA Cup against Shrewsbury Town, but the youngster didn’t have his most impressive of performances.
Oxford actually made an error during the contest which allowed Shrewsbury a golden chance, but Joe Hart bailed the prospect out.

West Ham went on to progress in the tie, after winning in extra-time, thanks to a strike from Reece Burke.
And when Moyes was asked about Oxford’s performance, he wasn’t exactly effusive in his praise.
“Okay,” he bluntly responded, when asked how the academy graduate had got on.
Oxford spent the first half of the season out on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach, and it is still not entirely clear where his future lies.

West Ham could look to offload the youngster again, to help him gain first-team experience.
Oxford appears to have little immediate chances of breaking into West Ham’s starting line-up, and his performance last night will not have helped his cause.
