West Ham United’s search for a striker is taking them back to Clermont Foot striker Mohamed Bayo as they plan for the January window.
The Sun claim that West Ham are ‘revving up’ a move to sign Bayo in the upcoming winter window.
David Moyes allegedly wants another striker and who can blame him?
West Ham are frankly in danger of mimicking Tottenham. They haven’t had a proper striker to help Harry Kane for years. The same could now happen with Michail Antonio.
West Ham wanted Bayo over the summer but didn’t get a deal done.
Yet with new investment from Czech businessman Daniel Kretinsky, West Ham now have the cash to get Bayo in.
Southampton, Brighton and Brentford are interested too, but West Ham are the most likely destination right now.
It won’t be cheap though as Clermont Foot allegedly want £15million for Bayo.

Bayo, 23, smashed 22 goals to fire his hometown club to promotion last season. Playing in Ligue 1 was a huge test of the Guinean’s true quality, and he has already racked up seven goals in 12 outings.
Bayo has shown that he can mix it in France’s top flight, and he could be exactly that West Ham want behind Antonio.
Add in that Bayo compared his own playing style to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and you can see exactly why West Ham want him.
