West Ham United are targeting Axel Disasi and have now joined Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign the Monaco defender.

That’s according to transfer insider Dean Jones whilst speaking to Give Me Sport, who claims that Disasi is attracting interest.

Jones claims that all three London clubs have been scouting Disasi ahead of potentially launching a move for the Monaco defender.

Arsenal and Tottenham have been linked for a while now.

Marca reported over the summer that Tottenham have been following the French defender for two years.

Arsenal also fancied Disasi back in 2020 when he was shining with Reims, and appear to have kept tabs on him of late.

West Ham are now joining the race though and David Moyes may look to secure a real coup in 2023.

Who is West Ham United target Axel Disasi?

Disasi, 24, came up in the Paris FC ranks before heading to Reims in 2016.

Disasi became a top talent with Reims before Monaco swooped in to secure his signature in 2020, just after Arsenal had originally pursued him.

The 6ft 3in defender has been a mainstay of the Monaco team and his attacking record is actually pretty impressive.

Three goals and four assists in 24 games for Monaco this season is impressive stuff and Disasi is unsurprisingly attracting interest.

Disasi is even part of France’s World Cup squad in Qatar and has made two appearances for the semi-finalists.

It’s not often we see Disasi switch from playing at centre back to right back but Didier Deschamps appears to be a fan of that idea.

It all adds to Disasi’s versatility and may well be part of the reason why West Ham are eyeing him.

Still, unless Kurt Zouma or summer signing Thilo Kehrer head anywhere, a big deal for Disasi to join West Ham seems unlikely.

Of the three clubs mentioned, we could see Tottenham fancying Disasi the most, viewing him as competition for Eric Dier in the centre of Antonio Conte’s back three.
