David Moyes’s West Ham United are interested in signing William Saliba from Arsenal in the summer of 2022, but they are facing competition from Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid, according to Jeunes Footeux.
The French news outlet has claimed that West Ham have made signing Saliba a priority at the end of the season.
The Hammers are reportedly ready to pay €30 million (£25.38 million) as transfer free for the 20-year-old French defender.
However, West Ham are facing competition from Spanish and European giants Madrid.
CalcioMercato reported this week that Madrid, AC Milan and Inter Milan all are monitoring Saliba, who is on loan at Ligue 1 outfit Marseille from Arsenal at the moment.

Could William Saliba join West Ham from Arsenal?
In our view, it is unlikely that Arsenal will sell Saliba described as “quick and a good passer of the ball” by former Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri on Marseille’s official YouTube in 2021 – in the summer of 2022, especially to West Ham.
After all, the Hammers are now genuine challengers for the European places, and Arsenal will surely not want to make them stronger.
Yes, Saliba has not played a single Premier League game for Arsenal so far in his career, but the Frenchman is still only 20.
In our view, Arsenal are likely to keep Saliba in their squad and make use of him in the future.
We do not think that West Ham will be able to secure the services of Saliba from London rivals Arsenal in the summer of 2022.
