West Ham United are reportedly considering appointing Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez.

According to the Daily Mirror, West Ham United are interested in appointing Rafael Benitez, and it may be better news for some players at the London Stadium than others.
West Ham’s owners are said to have some doubts over Slaven Bilic – with Newcastle United boss Benitez at the top of their wishlist of replacements.
Whether Benitez would take a job at West Ham remains to be seen, but one player who may be hoping that the Spanish boss does arrive is Alvaro Arbeloa.
Arbeloa was brought in by West Ham last summer, and he has endured a difficult first season at the London club.
The former Real Madrid man has been used very sparingly and his contract is now set to expire at the end of the season.
However, if Benitez takes charge – he may just be given another chance to save his West Ham career.
Benitez and Arbeloa worked together at both Liverpool and Real Madrid, and is known to be a big fan of the full-back.
Indeed, in 2016 – Benitez tried to sign Arbeloa for Newcastle United (Daily Mail), but was unsuccessful due to West Ham’s interest.
If Slaven Bilic remains in charge at the Hammers it seems likely that Arbeloa will depart this summer, but if Benitez does take over – the veteran defender may just be offered another chance to succeed.
