West Ham United want Andriy Lunin as David Moyes prepares to launch a move for the Real Madrid goalkeeper this summer.
West Ham missed out on the top six and were knocked out of the Europa League in the semi-finals.
You can therefore understand why West ham’s season felt a little anti-climactic by the end, but it was still another positive season under David Moyes.
Moyes will want new signings this summer to try and take West Ham forward again and another goalkeeper could be wanted.
Lukasz Fabiański isn’t getting any younger and loanee Alphonse Areola is returning to Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
West Ham United want Andriy Lunin
The Sunday Mirror (29/05, p77) report that West Ham are now stepping up their interest in signing Real Madrid goalkeeper Lunin.
It’s stated that Real would ideally like to loan Lunin out for consistent game time.
Yet there is also a possibility that a loan with option to buy can be done and West Ham will hold talks this week.
Lunin, 23, emerged as a top prospect in his native Ukraine with Dnipro and Zorya Luhansk, earning himself a big move to Real in 2018.

Loans with Leganes, Real Valladolid and Real Oviedo have followed for Lunin, but he has played just two league games this season.
Now in danger of falling by the wayside at Real, Lunin could be available this summer and West Ham are keen.
Lunin is still highly rated at Real despite his lack of game time, and is described by Marca as one of the most hard-working players in the entire Madrid squad.
Lunin was an unused substitute against Liverpool in Saturday’s Champions league final but may end up seeing the Reds again next season with a move to West Ham.
