Would Kevin Gameiro be a good signing for West Ham United or Brighton and Hove Albion in the January transfer window?

According to Betvictor.com, the odds of West Ham United and Brighton and Hove Albion signing Kevin Gameiro from Atletico Madrid in the January transfer window are 8/1.
Gameiro joined Atletico from La Liga rivals Sevilla in the summer of 2016 and is doing relatively well for the Madrid side at the moment.
The France international striker scored 12 goals and provided five assists in 21 La Liga starts for Atletico last season, according to WhoScored.

So far this campaign, the 30-year-old has scored three goals and provided one assist in six La Liga starts for Atletico, according to WhoScored.
West Ham do have enough forwards in their squad,, but a move for Gameiro, who was on the books of Paris Saint-Germain from 2011 until 2013, would not be a bad idea.

The Hammers, though, will face competition from as many as three Premier League rivals for the services of the 30-year-old striker.
According to Don Balon, Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United and Everton are interested in Gameiro.
Brighton are struggling for survival in the Premier League at the moment, and the Seagulls could do with someone like Gameiro.
