West Ham United want Alex Scott and could move for the Bristol City talent with Tottenham Hotspur believed to be long-term admirers.
The Sun report that Bristol City now want £20million for Scott at the end of the season.
This comes after talkSPORT reported in January that the Robins were seeking around £25million.
West Ham and London rivals Crystal Palace are believed to be scouting Scott ahead of launching moves for him in the summer.
Yet it’s understood that neither side are willing to go up to £20million for Scott, meaning there may be some haggling on the horizon.
David Moyes is no stranger to shopping in the Championship having landed the likes of Jarrod Bowen and Craig Dawson in his time at West Ham.
Go back to Everton and you’ll find Joleon Lescott and Tim Cahill as other success stories after emerging from the Championship.
Scott could be the latest but West Ham may find London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the race for his signature.

Tottenham Hotspur have held long-term interest in West Ham United target Alex Scott
Tottenham were looking towards Scott around a year ago.
London World claimed in March of last year that Tottenham Hotspur had pushed themselves to the front of the queue for Scott.
No deal materialised last summer but talkSPORT reported in January that Tottenham were still interested.
Spurs may well make a move for Scott this summer but again, it’s hard to see them paying £20million for him.
Scott, 19, has bagged four assists in 31 Championship games this season and has played a in wide range of midfield roles.
Compared to Jack Grealish for his style of play, Scott will surely head to the Premier League one day.
West Ham are lurking but if Tottenham’s long-term interest is real, they will surely make a move to prevent the Hammers from landing Scott.
