Fabrizio Romano claims West Ham have opened discussions to sign Manchester United player

West Ham United want Aaron Wan-Bissaka and are actually speaking to Manchester United about a potential loan deal for the right back.

That’s according to Fabrizio Romano, who was speaking on the Here We Go podcast on Monday.

Romano suggested that Manchester United’s priority at right back is to sell Wan-Bissaka and secure the future of Diogo Dalot.

Romano noted that three clubs are now speaking to Manchester United about a potential deal for Wan-Bissaka.

West Ham are one of them with Wolves and former club Crystal Palace also speaking to United about a potential loan move.

That may be a problem right there; United want to sell and the interested clubs prefer to take Wan-Bissaka on loan.

United may have to accept a loan with option to buy at this point though as Wan-Bissaka has hardly been in the shop window this season.

“The priority is to find a solution for Wan-Bissaka,” said Romano. “Extend Diogo Dalot’s contract and sell Wan-Bissaka. For Wan-Bissaka, there is a possibility with West Ham, Wolves and Crystal Palace, these three clubs are speaking to Manchester United on a potential loan deal, so let’s see if they find a way,” he added.

West Ham target Wan-Bissaka must leave Manchester United

United appeared to have struck a great deal when they signed Wan-Bissaka in a big-money move from Palace in 2019.

A strong on-ball defender with impressive athletic ability, Wan-Bissaka showed real promise at first.

Yet with his defending becoming a little shaky and attacking quality still hard to come by, Wan-Bissaka just hasn’t kicked on.

Wan-Bissaka has only played four minutes of Premier League action this season and it’s clear that Erik ten Hag just isn’t a fan.

The 25-year-old must now move on to save his career and a move away will hopefully get him back on track with another club.

David Moyes worked wonders with Jesse Lingard, another player who was frozen out at Untied, and may think that he can do the same with Wan-Bissaka.

West Ham right back Vladimir Coufal has been linked away of late and West Ham may now fancy Wan-Bissaka as the man to replace him with talks already opened.
