Sunderland have reportedly reignited their interest in Diafra Sakho
Following the collapse of Diafra Sakho’s move to West Bromwich Albion, the Senegalese striker is now back on the radar of Sunderland, according to the Northern Echo.
A fee of around £15 million had been agreed between the Baggies and the Hammers for Sakho, but the Midlands outfit decided against completing the deal due to a back injury which would have prevented the 26-year-old from playing at the start of the Premier League campaign.
Meanwhile, West Ham boss Slaven Bilic has outlined his intentions of bringing in five more signings before the start of the new season, as reported The Express.

The Hammers are facing a gruelling August with five games scheduled, and Bilic spoke to the Express regarding his side’s urgent need to strengthen before the games begin to come thick and fast:
“This squad is not enough for five games. We will hopefully have a minimum of five players added to the squad before the start of the Premier League.”

And finally, West Ham have been rewarded for their progress to the final qualifying round of the Europa League with a tie against last year’s conquerors Astra Giurgiu (Sky Sports).
