West Ham United are expected to be busy during this summer’s transfer window.

First up is news that the Hammers have finally made a concrete move for Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho, with Sky Sports reporting that they have lodged a bid thought to be in the region of £20 million for the Nigerian.

The 20-year-old would be a fantastic signing for Slaven Bilic’s side, and would inject a much needed level of pace into their forward line.

Meanwhile, the Daily Star suggest that West Ham are set to not only step up their interest in Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud, but also swoop for his teammate Theo Walcott.

The newspaper claim that the east London outfit are prepared to offer the Gunners £50 million for the pair.

In other news, Slaven Bilic is reportedly lining up move for Borussia Monchengladbach winger Thorgan Hazard, according to French media outlet Foot Mercato.

They will face competition from both Leicester City and Stoke City for the Belgian’s signature, however.

And finally, on a more disappointing note for Hammers fans, West Ham have missed out on the signing of Henry Onyekuru, after the 20-year-iold Nigerian agreed to join Everton instead, as reported by the Daily Mail.

The fee of just £6.8 million would have represented a real bargain for the east Londoners, but they have once again been found wanting in the transfer market.
