Tom Huddlestone bid
West Ham United are closing in on Hull City midfielder Tom Huddlestone, according to The Mirror.
It has been reported by the British newspaper that the Hammers are in the process of lodging a bid for the former Tottenham Hotspur star.
According to the report, Huddlestone has been identified as an alternative to Joey Barton and Alex Song.
The Mirror claims that West Ham backed out of a deal to sign former Queens Park Rangers midfielder Barton on a free transfer, and that the London club are still unable to agree terms with Barcelona man Song to sign him on a permanent contract.
Cheikhou Kouyate deal
West Ham are set to offer midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate a new contract, according to The Mirror.
The 25-year-old Senegal international joined the Premier League club in the summer of 2014 and has established himself as one of the most important players in the team.
The Mirror claims that the former Anderlecht star’s new deal will see his current £15,000-a-week wage double.
Andros Townsend interest
The Daily Star claims that West Ham have joined the race to sign Andros Townsend from Tottenham Hotspur this month.
England international winger Townsend is going to find it tough to play regularly for Spurs this season, and the Hammers are claimed to be interested in securing his services before the summer transfer window slams shut next month.
