West Ham United midfielder Manuel Lanzini is now earning offers from overseas teams for a transfer. The Argentine is also likely to consider his future as his contract will expire in June.
That is according to Dean Jones, who reports that Lanzini is subject to interest from foreign clubs. Teams are now starting to position themselves in a race for the 29-year-old as David Moyes has seldom utilised him this season. Lanzini will also consider a potential departure.
The £70k-a-week star has only started in one of the Hammers’ 22 Premier League fixtures so far this term. Moyes also opted against starting Lanzini in West Ham’s FA Cup win over Derby County. He has started heavily in Europe with eight Conference League ties instead.

Now, Lanzini will likely turn his attention to a career elsewhere as the midfielder’s contract expires on June 30. West Ham hold an option to extend his deal by another two years. The Irons may still use the clause to protect his value but are unlikely to oppose any departure.
West Ham signed Lanzini in a £9m transfer from Al Jazira in March 2016. The Irons took up their first refusal for his permanent arrival having initially hired the midfielder on loan. But the five-cap Argentina operator is now behind Declan Rice, Tomas Soucek and Lucas Paqueta.

Lanzini is earning transfer offers despite his continually limited role at West Ham
This season is also the third successive Premier League campaign in which Lanzini has only held a bit-part role. His chances to feature could have increased following Mark Noble’s retirement last year. But Moyes has continued to favour alternatives and signed Paqueta.
Manchester City striker Julian Alvarez still views Lanzini to be one of the best Argentines in the Premier League, though. The World Cup winner lauds what his compatriot offers West Ham and has achieved during his career having followed the midfielder from a young age.
“He’s a great player,” Alvarez told Manchester City’s official website. “He played at River Plate. I use to see him on TV when I was younger. He is a great player. In the match against West Ham, I was able to swap his jersey. That was nice.”
