West Ham might reportedly have a clear path to sign Morocco international Youssef En-Nesyri, with Sevilla now open to selling the 25-year-old striker this month.

According to Estadio Deportivo, the La Liga giants are welcome to the idea of the 2022 FIFA World Cup star leaving the club in the January window, with En-Nesyri struggling for form with Sevilla this season despite the attacker’s incredible performances in Qatar this winter.

Valued at £30m, En-Nesyri scored the goal that sent Morocco into the World Cup semi-finals, making the Atlas Lions the first African and Arabic nation to make it to the final four of the competition. And now, West Ham are interested in signing the striker.

As per the report, the Hammers have been keeping tabs on En-Nesyri for quite some time, and this month could finally see David Moyes’ side pull the trigger on a move to bring the Moroccan superstar to east London, with West Ham in desperate need of some added firepower.

The Irons currently find themselves in a relegation scrap after a rough start to the season. And with summer signing Gianluca Scamacca struggling to adapt to the Premier League, West Ham bringing in En-Nesyri could be an ideal solution to the club’s lack of goals this campaign.

Indeed, En-Nesyri is still widely regarded as one of the best attackers in La Liga. And after the striker’s historic role for Morocco at the World Cup, West Ham could be inspired to move for the 25-year-old as a way to solve their attacking issues.

Very few supporters would have predicted West Ham to find themselves in a relegation battle come this point of the season. Yet January will provide the Irons the opportunity to solve some major issues in the squad, and signing En-Nesyri could do just that.

After all, the Moroccan star has a proven track record of scoring consistently for Sevilla, with this season likely a blip for the talismanic striker. And with West Ham, the forward could easily reignite his goalscoring touch that has made the attacker as potent as he has been in in recent years.
