West Ham are reportedly still interested in signing Villarreal attacker Arnaut Danjuma, who this weekend has flown to the UK amid a potential move to the Premier League with Everton and Tottenham eyeing the winger.

According to the Daily Mail, the Netherlands international is on the Irons radar with AFC Bournemouth and Aston Villa also interested in Danjuma, with the aforementioned Everton and Tottenham also chasing the Villarreal superstar.

The news comes after the Athletic reported that Danjuma himself has flown to the UK to hold talks with Premier League clubs ahead of a return to England, with West Ham now interested in signing the La Liga superstar ahead of their rival clubs.

With a reported asking price of £35m according to El Periodico Mediterraneo, Danjuma would be quite the signing for West Ham if David Moyes can stake a claim to beat the likes of Everton and Tottenham to the winger’s signature this January.

Indeed, there are growing rumours that Danjuma could sign for a Premier League club on loan. And for West Ham, this could be a deal that would be beneficial for the east London side as the Hammers are yet to make a serious move in the January window.

With West Ham sat in the relegation zone after a 1-0 loss to Wolves, there is a growing sense of uncertainty surrounding the London Stadium side. Yet signing an attacking talent like Danjuma could be the lifeline Moyes needs to save his managerial career in the English capital.

West Ham are in need of something this January if Moyes is to save his club’s Premier League status as well as his job in the coming months. Which is why signing a player like Danjuma would be quite the coup for the east London side given the competition.

As we know Everton and Antonio Conte’s Tottenham are all chasing the winger following his return to England. And for West Ham, a statement can be made if the Irons are the ones to win the race for Danjuma, a deal which could prove crucial in the relegation race.
