Sevilla have reportedly slapped a €50m (£44m) asking price for Youssef En-Nesyri, with West Ham the club most interested in signing the attacker despite this valuation and the striker’s form this season.
According to AS, the La Liga giants are open to selling the forward this summer with the Moroccan international hitting his 50th goal in all competitions for Sevilla since joining the club, though the forward has only managed five goals in the league this season.
As per the report, even with Sevilla sitting in an astonishing 17th-place, the Spanish giants still believe they can get as much as £44m for En-Nesyri, with West Ham interested in signing the attacker as David Moyes’ side missed out on the forward in the January transfer window.
The attacker was one of Morocco’s key players at the 2022 FIFA World Cup as En-Nesyri scored the historic goal that sent the Atlas Lions to the semi-finals, making history as the first African nation to make it to the final four of the competition.

Indeed, En-Nesyri’s name carries a lot of historic significance, and with Sevilla keen on selling the forward to rebuild the squad in the summer, West Ham now face having to pay an astronomical fee to sign a player who, World Cup aside, has not been in the best of form.
Five goals in La Liga is hardly an impressive return for a striker as good as En-Nesyri, and whilst this figure is compensated with an extra seven strikes in Europe and domestic cup competitions, West Ham know they can sign a better player for a better price in the summer transfer window.
West Ham must avoid signing En-Nesyri at all costs

En-Nesyri is unquestionably a good attacker who is just going through a rough patch, as is everyone at Sevilla this season, yet even so for West Ham, the Hammers must avoid signing the 25-year-old at all costs this summer given how much is at stake for the Irons.
This season has been one to forget for the east London side, and should David Moyes keep the club up in the Premier League, the Scottish manager must to stick to the sort of signings that made the former Manchester United boss such an icon at West Ham in the first place, which doesn’t include names such as En-Nesyri.
