West Ham to close deal for striker Arsenal wanted before Jesus by Sunday

David Moyes’s West Ham United could complete the signing of Sassuolo striker and Arsenal target Gianluca Scamacca by Sunday, according to journalist Alfredo Pedulla on Twitter.

The well-known and well-respected journalist has reported this evening that West Ham expect to get deal for Scamacca sorted by Sunday.

The Italy international striker would be in London on Monday or Tuesday, according to Pedulla, who has added that the Hammers will pay Italian club Sassuolo £42-£43 million in transfer fees for the 23-year-old

90min reported in June that Arsenal were planning to make an offer for the young striker, with the Gunners’ Technical Director Edu personally impressed by him.

Arsenal have since signed Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City.
