David Moyes’s West Ham United are reportedly confident of beating Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur to the signing of Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher.

According to The London Evening Standard, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United are interested in signing Conor Gallagher from London and Premier League rivals Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

The report has claimed that the Hammers have had a bid of £40 million for the England international midfielder turned down already.

Chelsea want £50 million for Gallagher.

West Ham are optimistic that they will be able to reach an agreement with Chelsea and beat Tottenham to the signature of the  Englishman, according to the report.

Tottenham Hotspur could beat West Ham United to Conor Gallagher’s signature

In our opinion, Tottenham Hotspur could be able to sign Conor Gallagher from Chelsea ahead of West Ham United in the summer transfer window.

If Chelsea want £50 million for the English midfielder, then Tottenham should be able to sign him as long as they pay that sum.

The Blues will surely not care which club Gallagher goes to as long as they get the transfer fee they want.

While West Ham are a big club who will play in the UEFA Europa League next season after winning the UEFA Europa Conference League, Tottenham regularly challenge for the Premier League top four and reached the final of the UEFA Champions League in 2019.

Gallagher is a versatile player who can operate in central midfield, in a more advanced position or out wide.

The 23-year-old has made 99 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

Gallagher has scored 13 goals and given six assists in those games.

We believe that West Ham or Tottenham would be a better team with Gallagher in it.
